A great name in the classic tradition of sweet wines from Tarragona. This family firm was founded in 1851, and is now directed by the current Marques de Muller y de Abadal. Originally, the company was famed for its Altar wines sold to, among others, The Vatican, and its velvety ‘solera-aged’ Moscatel, Pajarete and other sweet wines. Today however, with a large investment in machinery and property De Muller are producing superb varietals and are expanding their holdings at Scala Dei producing soft, smooth full flavoured, powerful wines typical of that area.

A sumptuous white wine elaborated with our rich Mediterranean vines of Chardonnay, of great character and personality. The latter comes from its fermentation and ageing in French, American, Hungarian, Russian, Rumanian, Slovakian and German oak barrels and posterior and adequate batonnage.

The process of fermentation and the time our Chardonnay has spent in barrels conveys the crystalline, shining and slightly golden yellow colour.

With its very exuberant and complex aroma, this noble and elegant wine gives us numerous sensations. It has a high variety aroma of banana enhanced with the many aromas given by the different oaks in which it has been aged. Complex and elegant spicy aromas of coconut and vanilla with some original citric touches and slight milky sensations. It has a magnificent bouquet and a perfect equilibrium between acidity, sweetness and complexity.

When in mouth, we can discern the sincerity of this magnificent wine, since it delivers the spicy and fruity aromas already detected in nose, but with greater intensity in mouth and leading to a fascinating and long aftertaste.

Perfect with baked or grilled fish, even smoked, with white meat, light first courses and condimented dishes with smooth creams.
