Gilles Noblet Pouilly Fuisse

Gilles Noblet Pouilly Fuisse
Gilles Noblet Pouilly Fuisse

Beautiful golden green colour whilst young, developing into to a fuller, warm golden colour after several years aging. The wine exudes a wonderfully concentrated bouquet of hazelnuts, toast, honey and above all grilled almonds. On the palate the wine is always rich and full bodied with long intense flavours, notably of vanilla, always in perfect harmony with the bouquet. The structure is impeccable with a fine acidity preventing excessive fatness.

Monsieur Noblet's Pouilly-Fuissé possesses the most beautiful golden green colour whilst young, developing into to a fuller, warm golden colour after several years aging. This is an extremely well made, elegant wine that will age perfectly for at least 7 to 8 years.

This is the ideal accompaniment for shellfish and white meats in sauce.

The Noblet family have been making wine here for over 4 generations, passing down from father to son. Gilles Noblet was offered a part of his fathers larger vineyard in 1978 where he has been perfecting his methods ever since. Monsieur Noblet now makes some of the very best wines coming from this much underrated appellation, being ranked as one of the "excellent producers" in Parker's Wine Buyer's Guide.
