Product Details
Started in 1974 by husband and wife, Enrico Teruzzi and Carmen Puthod, who with little or no experience in wine making achieved their first success in 1978. Today they produce Tuscany’s most famous and expensive Vernaccia the “Terre di Tufi” an oak aged Vernaccia, which wins countless awards year after year. They also produce a red wine “Pepperino” an oak aged Sangiovese, which along with Terre di Tufi comes into the new I.G.T. standard, for wines previously marked Vino da Tavola.Production area: estate vineyards in the municipality of San Gimignano presenting mainly clay and sand soil at elevations from 120 to 300 metres a.s.l. The site climate is continental, tempered by Mediterranean influences with cold, rainy winters and hot summers.
