Intense nose with floral aromas (elder flowers), sweet notes (crystallized fruits, mango, barley sugar, frangipane) and slightly varietal aromas (hay, laurel leaf, tobacco leaf). Round attack followed by acid perception creating the acidulous balance of this wine. The fat middle palate ends on a nervy finish. The aromatic return delivers peach, grapefruit zest and artichoke heart.

Product Details

A producer of much acclaim in the Loire, with most of his holdings on the best sites in the south of the Sancerre area. Jean Max Roger vinifies his grapes from each vineyard separately, truly reflecting the soil characteristics of each site. The wines are wonderful, broad, rich and complex with a perfect balance of acidity and dryness and mouthfuls of fruit. Robert Parker awards him with 4 stars and rates him as “Excellent”
