100% Chardonnay old vines of 50 years old in average (including some 100 years old ones), partly composed of “muscated” Chardonnay traditionally used during the 20's in Burgundy
 
Macon-Lugny AOC is the specialty of Cave de Lugny. Our flagship Les Charmes is a single vineyard of 105 ha (259 a) located atop a southeast-facing hill beyond the winery. Limestone soils with chalk, clay and some slate which offer excellent drainage

Grape Variety : Chardonnay
 
Limpid and brilliant green-tinged straw that evolves in gold. Lovely nose of fresh and exotic fruits (apple, grapefruit, pineapple) combined with flower and intense mineral notes. Develops complex aromas of acacia, flint and dry fruits (roasted almond) after 2 or 3 years in bottle. Crispy and fruity, the wine is full of delicious and pure Chardonnay tastes. Lively, powerful and well-balanced structure.
 
To drink with all kind of fish and poultry either simply prepared or with rich sauce (best with cream). Try with light cheese (goats)
 
To serve chilled at 10-12°C and decanted one hour before drinking to develop the bouquet at its best
 
Best drunk after 3 years of bottle, potential of ageing 5 to 8 years
