In Venegazzù di Volpago del Montello, at the foot of the hills bearing the same name, at the heart of the Marca Trevigiana, lies the 80-hectar vineyard of the Azienda Agricola Conte Loredan Gasparini. The land produces excellent wine and the best one is along the river banks of Montello". The area has a clayey soil very rich in iron and mineral components. The farm was founded in the 1950's by Count Piero Loredan. In 1973 the farm became property of its present owner and director Mr Giancarlo Palla. The famous Capo di Stato, has been listed by a French publication entitled "100 vins de légende" among the hundred wines in the world.

Marked and definite are the hints of apple and yellow pulp peach together with a clear flavour of pineapple. The nose is characterised by a marked perfume of yellow flowers and of just-mowed hay. The taste is full, warm but also fresh and quite and at the same time its is intense and persistent. Thanks to its freshness and to its structure this wine is an ideal drink with sea-fish, sauced horse d’oeuvre and aromatic first courses or soups
