The wine-growing estate Johann Strauss lies in the midst of the viticulture corridor Kremser. The vineyards lie in a climatically preferred region, which the Romans recognized and used for viticulture. Where two climate zones meet each other, it makes for excellent Veltliner and Riesling growth. The climate provides for hot, dry days, fresher, oxygen-rich air from the forest quarter for night coolness. The grape/cluster property for these wines originates from old wine gardens over 40 years old. Higher quality results from the small yield.
