Pfeiffer wines is a family owned and operated winery, located within historic Rutherglen - a region with a rich wine heritage, spanning over 140 years. Our historic winery cellars, and our century old Sunday Creek bridge are situated in an idyllic setting on the banks of Sunday Creek, a branch of the mighty Murray River.
Each year Rutherglen Topaque grapes are havested at high sugar levels. This wine is then transferred into barrels and casks of different volumes (generally for anything between 2 and 5 years for this Rutherglen classification). These parcels are then blended to produce youthful, fresh wines some some complexity and concentrated flavours. The Pfeiffer Rutherglen Topaque is a fine example of this classifiction and displays honey and malt on the nose and a slippery, luscious palate with loads of flavour.
