Teruzzi & Puthod was established in 1974 on the enchanting hills around San Gimignano with the mission to produce high-quality wines and to promote this unique territory with its rich heritage of history and winemaking culture. The estate covers a sizeable 180 hectares, 94 of which are vineyarded. 60 hectares are dedicated to Vernaccia, making Teruzzi&Puthod the privately owned estate with the largest cultivation of this renowned native grape variety.
A blend of Vernaccia, Chardonnay, Malvasia, and Vermentino. Clear, star-bright straw yellow with good depth. Attractively intense nose revealing complexity, persistence and an appealing hint of oak. Full-bodied and robust yet soft in the mouth, assertive but not aggressive, with excellent length and a toasty note in the finish. Food matchings: an ideal accompaniment for full-flavoured soups, rice or pasta dishes, fish, shellfish, white meats and mild red meats.
